If your 7 year old goes to the school nurse for a condom then YOU obviously have a problem that isn't being dealt with at home.

And if that is the case, then why in the world would the answer be for the school nurse to hand the child a condom? How about contacting the parents, authorities, something to help with the "problem?" C'mon...

Not really. It does make me wonder why so many people think their 7 year old is going to use a condom though.

Why? Because the schools are promoting it! That's why.

What makes you think they wouldn't? And why is it better if nobody has a clue something is wrong?

Because as this story is about, the school will provide a condom to the student as they can't predict just how early kids will start to have sex. This is ludicrous.

Promoting? I don't think they are putting posters in the hall and making announcements over the loud speaker for heavens sake. And having the ability to get a condom doesn't = sex. Many have the ability now, they just look in daddy's sock drawer and use it as a water balloon. Where have you been for the last 40 years?

Period. Handing out a condom to such a child would be immoral if not criminal.

The new policy will begin in September and students interested in the free condoms will be required to have a “heart-to-heart” with a counselor which will include a talk about abstinence before being given one.
I imagine that is part of the reason for the discussion with the counselor.

What does government ownership of industry have to do with sex?

Oh please...The schools know very well that kids teach other kids. That is how they keep promoting their agenda. The fact that they have it in the elementary school at all is promoting it. And if it isn't made known to the kids, why have them at all??? "daddy's sock drawer"??? Just because some parents don't supervise their children, doesn't mean all kids need to be exposed to something for which they are too young. But, we all know, this isn't about educating and protecting our children. This is about a nasty social agenda.

I'm not convinced schools SHOULD be in the condom business. But I also think you are slightly stoopid if you think kids having condoms makes them have sex. Or than you can keep your kids out of your sock drawer
