Naturally, they have to "[model] their network on successful operations created by Democrats"! Cant they do anything original? The cheaters.
Anyway we should keep our eyes open regarding new candidates, suddenly to-the-fore candidates, and "American Crossroads."
WASHINGTON – In a campaign season of anti-establishment ferment, some of the Republican Party's best-known insiders are building an ambitious fundraising machine for the fall elections and beyond.
They started with a bang in April, cashing a $1 million check from a Texas oil magnate. After a quiet May, friends and foes are watching to see if the new organization's core group, American Crossroads, can reach its goal of raising $52 million by November.
Karl Rove, who was President George W. Bush's top political strategist, and Ed Gillespie, a former Republican Party chairman and White House aide, modeled their network on successful operations created by Democrats several years ago.
Please This is just another 527. Neither party owns the intellectual property on fund raising. Both parties are political juggernauts when it comes to raising money. The only thing that changes is voter fatigue. Obama was able to raise so much money because Independents and Republican were worn out from the Bush years. The right political candidate for the times is also a major factor in fund raising.
Just you wait after Obama the money will start flooding in to Republican coffers. Especially from business owners BIG, Large and small. Corporations closed their wallets to McCain in 2008. That will not happen in 2010 or 2012 to Republicans. Unless Jeb Bush runs which I doubt until 2016 Obama will probably have four more years to trash the Democratic party. Which is probably the Republican behind closed doors strategy anyway.
I think for 2010, 2012 and 2014 the motivation for conservatives Republicans and Independants is to take back The House and Senate then wait for 2016 to strike at the white house. Just another repeat of the 1990's. Which coming out of a recession could be very good for your wallet. I would say buy buy buy now and sell sell sell just before 2016. Its all about money and power anyway.

A lot of what you're saying is right, but the wallets won't open on emotion.
This wont be just another 527. This will be the gold-standard one. Keep an eye on it.
