Yes, his staff made the comments - the staff he is responsible for. But I'll let his words speak for themselves and then we will let this thread get back to VP Joe Biden .....

I think better decorum by all, needs to be in place. We look to our LEADERS who REPRESENT US to act in a manner that is becoming of their position(especially their ELECTED POSITION) within society.

I agree with this. I was equally taken aback by Obama's "Who's A$$ to Kick" comment. Crude and unbecoming for someone holding the office of President. Joe? Well, you kind of know what you are getting with Joe, but still cringe-inducing.

If lower taxes is the desire, what bit of government spending should be cut in order to balance the budget?

1. The salaries and benefits for ANY employee caught using a government computer to view pornography, including the SEC lawyers who should have been catching Madoff and the oil industry regulators who should have been monitoring BP's drilling.

2. The excessive bids paid to contractors due to union wage requirements.

3. The salaries of all the czars of this, that, and everything else.

4. 6% across the board from every agency, or a roll-back to 2007 funding levels, whichever produces the most savings.

5. Any unused stimulus money should be applied to the deficit.

just for starters.

Its a video.

There is a real problem when the VP of this country is calling a citizen that.

I am sure there will be some that make excuses for this and that is pathetic also
what's wrong with Biden's comment? that's just his northeatern personality. I'd rather hear that than a faker.

Won't even make a ripple in the spending pond. I would start with entitlements and defense, the two costliest and holiest issues of ideologues.

Wow!

Stunning really!

Let me help you out a little here.

The reason the high-paying job went overseas is because it is only a high-paying job if it's here. See international corporations compete with other international corporations by producing goods and services that people want. But the problem is people want these goods and services on the cheap. The international corporation that fails to control cost (labor and taxes for example) will not be able to sell their products at the lowest price and will go into bankruptcy (see GM and DCX). So even if the international corporation wants to provide high wages and costly benefits while also paying the second highest corporate tax rate in the world, they will not be able to for long because other corporations will undercut their price and take their customers.

Maybe we could shift the momentum away from Asian nations by lowering our corporate tax rate? It would be easy to do really. We would simply have to reduce our spending by getting the federal government out of areas where it has no constitutional business, like bailing out auto manufacturers and operating costly programs like cash for clunkers.
