Tattoos are a "personal choice", "sentimental value", a "tribute", "military/prison", etc..... all yes. Adds "character", yeah maybe, but so do "scars".
But "attractive", I don't think so, anymore than a butterfly, etc. on an overweight gal is gonna make her anymore "desireable" than she was already. Just sayin'....
I covered up some scars with tattoos. Best of both worlds??
Nah. I have a personal rule that I won't tattoo any people, places or names on me. I had a lot of IVs growing up due to a genetic disorder I have (2 IVs a month since I was 11) and have 'track marks' down my arms, so I covered them up with birds and flowers.

Now there's a creative reason for a tattoo! Or maybe even the "old-fashioned" reasons, like being in the military (or the slammer). But inking a unicorn on some 18 year-old airhead for the rest of her life, because it's "special" (and all her friends are doing it)... I don't think so!

Regardless whether you're for or against, seems like they're basically a "class & cultural distinction", same way as some folks still have an "appreciation" for mullets, "too much makeup", and "big hair".... there's no accounting for "taste"!

My Mom has a unicorn tattooed on her shoulder blade.... it actually has meaning to her.
Some people are just goofballs though. I will admit that I do have a little 'joke' in my sleeve that most people would probably say I'm an idiot for getting...but it makes me smile and I think everyone needs to smile just a little bit more
I wonder if some girls just have their panties tatooed on.
No bunching there!
I know a girl who has her eyeliner tattooed on.
