You should read this post again. It was not about people getting tattoos on them to be accounted for or just forced to get tattoos. You are surely intelligent enough to realize this.
the point was, if you dont want them then dont get them, but dont complain when someone else makes a choice of their self expression,
Nine years planning a sleeve tattoo, is not the same as having a sleeve tattoo for two decades.
Like I said, I know plenty of people who have had sleeves or other large pieces for 20+ years and still like them.
Will I like mine in 10 years? 20 years? 30 years? I don't know. I have had quite a few people come up to me and tell me they 'wished they had the guts' to get a sleeve, or more visible tattoos but they were too afraid.
I say, to each his/her own. If you don't like tattoos...don't get one.
there really is a huge difference visually between someone with a single tat or even two than someone with a full body tat. tats are about self expression, they don't have to please anyone other than the person who carries it

Exactly! I got my tattoos because I like them. Period. I like the way they look, I like the way they make me feel, I like having them.
