Chicago and Illinois are a one party state. Democrat. When a candidate runs from a different party, he or she doesn't have the money, organization, quality or political intelligence to get elected. I have seen too many oppostion candidates that were just plain stupid or weak to mount any serious challenge to the Chicago political machine. This is very unforntunate because most Chicago politicians need to get thrown out of office.
The Chicago way: Mind your own ****ing business and you'll be fine.
Exactly and vote for who they tell you to vote for.
They will be knocking on your door to tell you, standing outside the polling places to refresh your memory and watching if you go to the Republican table. Every city worker votes Democratic if they care about their job.
A line from a movie that rightwingers have used to slander the president and a nice city.
And if you think politics in Chicago is dirty and crooked, you've never ever been to Jersey.

Right.................. try living there. How many of New Jersey's last four govenors are in federal prison? Illinois is a lawless state that functions through bribes and corruption. It is like living in Mexico, as everyone is on the take.
Thankfully, we left Illinois and it is refreshing to be in a state where the rule of law still exists.
Obama is a product of Illinois politics and the corruption in his administration is not suprising at all, given where he came from.
Chicago, New Jersey same same same sleezy far left politics.
