Marshall is not beyond reproach, no matter how hard you lefties try to bend the Race Curve to fit your idea of what's best for America.

Come on... it would have been alright if the criticism were targeted to the 2nd AA SCOTUS justice. But the 1st one.... OFF LIMITS! What a joke! Who are the real racists that see nothing but color?

Why is it so hard to answer specific issues you or some of the others may have with Marshall??

Why can't you accept he was one of the most liberal members of the SCOUS and well outside the mainstream.

How low can the GOP go?

These days? As low as the Democrats, I imagine. There is no difference; all are crooked

Can somebody please tell me why the GOP is attacking the first Black SC Justice?
Mr. Opinion, ironically, you seem to have difficulty distinguishing between opinion and fact.

1. That piece is the author's opinion; and

2. The author didn't suggest any attack because of skin color. YOU did.

scarlet_ohara,

1. Regardless of who the columunist was that wrote the story that I added to this thread. The GOP has an agenda, just like the Dems do. But it amazes me that they think they are right on everything they do. The GOP destroyed our economy and then blames Obama for trying to fix it.

2. I never accused the GOP for using skin color others have. My opinion was based on the fact that the GOP would point out TM liberal views. The GOP basically smeared his name trying to throw questions at Elena Kagan. For years the SC was dominated with Conservative Judges. Who the Heck do they think they are for trying to question someones political views. They do it also!

As low as its constituents allow it. All groups are truly led by their members. If they choose to give their spokespersons free rein, they've still made a choice.
