As we focus, rightly, on the oil spill, Obama and his zombies are pushing through more of their socialisitic ideology. We need to wake up!!
He could care less about the Gulf incident. Haven't heard him speak or address the oil problem in almost 2 wks. Is he not our president!?

Wake up America!!! He's pushing through more destruction of America bills. That's where he is, at his desk, hoping we keep focusing on our ocean. Where are the environmentalists putting pressure on him for lack of concern over the Gulf? This is insanity. Where is the Sierra Club, NWF, Marine Mammal Center...etc?? Why are they silent?

Anyway, he's too busy passing this garbage while we are preoccupied....

Obama Can Shut Down Internet For 4 Months Under New Emergency Powers

"Fears that the legislation is aimed at bringing the Internet under the regulatory power of the U.S. government in an offensive against free speech were heightened further on Sunday, when Lieberman revealed that the plan was to mimic China’s policies of policing the web with censorship and coercion."

Breaking News » Blog Archive » House Passes DISCLOSE Act

"Even more frustrating is how liberal members of the House rushed the bill through to a floor vote after a closed door meeting of the House Rules Committee without allowing lawmakers any time to read the final version of the bill."
"Even the liberal ACLU has condemned the Act and its draconian regulations aimed at particular groups while excluding those who traditionally vote for the Democratic Party, such as Labor Unions."

Wake up people!!!!!!

On Day 70 he's decided to avail himself of foreign assistance.

I find it fascinating that for all of Obama's term the Right has been accusing Obama of being a Socialist. Yet when he encourages a large Corporation like BP to fix it's own problem the Right screams Obama isn't doing enough? What a bunch of confused hypocrites!

Actually no they're not. If the Fed (Obama) handed over authority to the state Governor's to be able to do cleanup and prevention then there would be no outrage. As it is, the state Governors hands are tied as they have to wait on the Fed (Obama administration) for permission to do things, most of which are not immediate.

Understand who has what authority (state vs federal) and then you can understand the outrage.

Sooo, the federal Govenment is supposed to grind to a halt. OK.

By the way, to debunk all of those Jones Axt fallacies out there, here are a couple of heads-ups:

http://www.deepwaterhorizonresponse....c/2931/660195/

WASHINGTON — National Incident Commander Admiral Thad Allen today announced the development of specific guidance to ensure accelerated processing of requests for Jones Act waivers should they be received as a part of the BP oil spill response.

Currently, 15 foreign-flagged vessels are involved in the largest response to an oil spill in U.S. history. No Jones Act waivers have been granted because none of these vessels have required such a waiver to conduct their operations in the Gulf of Mexico.

http://www.factcheck.org/2010/06/oil...the-jones-act/

In reality, the Jones Act has yet to be an issue in the response efforts. The Deepwater Horizon response team reported in a June 15 press release that there are 15 foreign flagged ships currently participating in the oil spill cleanup. None of them needed a waiver because the Jones Act does not apply.

The truth is, nobody knows how to stop this leak. You know why? Because nobody thought it would happen. There has been a good old boy, pat each other on the ass, one hand washes the other mentality between Washigton and big oil for a long ling time, as evidenced by the MMS scandal.

Get a grip on yourself, my friend. If you slept well during Bush's rein of terror, you should certainly be able to sleep, now.

If you must worry, why not concern yourself with cutting your need for energy to sustain your life style? We are the ones that created this situation by our gluttonous life.

Obama is clueless, of course he's deferring it. Also, if he had to take control of the spill, and actually do the job a president should do, it'd take much time away from passing his ideological bills!!!!!

It's pretty clear!!!

Last I looked, Presidents cannot pass bills.

Is there not a single right winger who has ever actually read the Constitution they pretend to hold so dear?
