Actually I have NO idea if they were AK47's....as that is an automatic rifle and incredibly rare in the USA....They were in Texas...being carried by ILLEGAL ALIENS from Mexico....

A federal police patrol in the northern border state of Sonora discovered an arsenal that included an anti-aircraft machine gun, Mexican authorities said Tuesday.
The arms cache was found at a home in Santa Ana occupied by Anahi Beltran Cabrera, 20, who was taken into custody.
Federal police commissioner Rodolfo Cruz said she is suspected of links to the Beltran Leyva brothers, leaders of a powerful drug-trafficking organization.
Cops discovered the weapons after spotting the .50-caliber machine gun mounted on an SUV parked in front of the house. Cruz said the weapon can fire 800 rounds per minute and is capable of piercing armor at a distance of 1,500 meters (5,000 feet).
In the house there were also a grenade launcher, 261 bullet clips, 29 boxes containing 9,600 rounds of ammunition and 750 grams (1 2/3 pounds) of cocaine.
Also found in the house were several AK-47 and AR-15 assault rifles, another .50-caliber machine gun, carbines and accessories and replacement parts for all these weapons.
