The EPA had a choice to approve or disapprove the permits, it has made the decision to deny under the Obama administration's watch.
How hard is that to understand?

Yea, so what?? They were not following the law, so they should not have been issued the permits. Even the Bush EPA believed they were not following the law.

HOUSTON – The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency on Wednesday officially overturned a 16-year-old Texas air permitting program it says violates the Clean Air Act, leaving some of the country's largest refineries in a state of limbo. The move comes after years of backdoor bickering, negotiations and public arguments between the EPA and Texas. The argument recently escalated from a battle over environmental issues into a heated political dispute over states' rights.

He has been using it to drive home his contention that President Barack Obama's administration is overreaching, saying in a statement Wednesday that "Texas will continue to fight this federal takeover of a successful state program."The EPA's decision, announced in a statement, will force some 125 refineries and petrochemical plants to invest millions of dollars to get new permits.

I heard about it on the news on the way home. Where the hell is our military when this maniac is attacking the US any way he can?

How hard is the nation's supply of gasoline and energy to understand? This move will do more harm to the US than any terrorist attach could have done. As a matter of fact, had an attack shut down our refineries to such an extent, it would be declared a national disaster. However, when Barry the job killer does it- it is just marxist extremist "policy" as usual, designed to weaken the nation.

So you agree then they were shut down during Obamas watch and thus the title is not misleading but in fact correct.

Texas Air Program Does Not Meet CAA Requirements. EPA Says -- Environmental Protection

OR, you can believe the simpleminded version the RW media is feeding you: Vengeful overlord Obama tries to mess wit Texas... LOL

Right..................

The EPA is the means by which Obama controls US industry by means of "environmental regualtions". This is just an extension of the lunacy of "cap and trade" which is a government effort to control industry. Ironically, this does nothing to CO2 levels, but like cap and trade, adds additional expense to US industry and consumers.

What a joke.

The EPA is another rogue agency that seems to operate outside of any congressional constraint and in this case has become another tool in Obamas box of tricks.

So something going on for 16 years is bad.

But the air along the Gulf coast where the spill and chemicals are is good ?
Odors from the BP Oil Spill | EPA Response to BP Spill in the Gulf of Mexico | US EPA

And we have here..long term toxic effects of the Valdez cleanup:
http://www.akaction.org/fact_sheets/Exxon_Valdez_Oil_Spill_Legacy_Fact_Sheet.htm (broken link)

And I'm not playing R vs D here. I honestly worry about the health of the workers down there in the Gulf and what I read about regarding their protection while they clean up. It just seems the EPA is more worried about something going on for 16 years and dismisses the BP spill area knowing what happened to many during the Valdez cleanup.
