I'd vote for them. They wouldn't win, but I'd vote for them. We just barely got Obama in there after all this time. A gay gay or girl in this current climate.....ehhhh.

I, personally, don't care about a presidential candidate's background. But judging from the postings in this forum, that appears to be a minority position.

I'm not sure it is a 'minority' position, but it certainly is the less vocal position. Small minds, big mouths seems to be the name of the game on c-d's POC forum.

And this means Republicans as well as Dems, independents, Libertarians, Greens, etc. Would you self-described conservatives vote for a gay conservative over a hetero liberal?
Not a problem. In fact, about as irrelevant as it gets.

I don't vote at all. So my poll answer would be "no"...but it has nothing to do with their orientation.

I don't see how someones sexual orentation would have any deciding factor if you would vote for them or not. But if I believed in the candidate and their position on topics, and they were gay, yes, I would vote for them.

I'm still trying to get over the fact that 6 people actually said no on the poll. It's almost shocking to think that some would base their vote off the sexual orentation of the candidate.......morons.

I would gladly vote for a gay person if he/she were qualified, just as I wuld vote for a qualified black person. Hopefully an HONEST, qualified black man will someday run for president...!

If I thought his/her platform represented me well and he/she would follow through on it, absolutely I would.
