That's a great idea---let media start doing their job. Let's start with Fox and right wing talk radio. If they'd clean up their act and start reporting unbias news instead of spouting opinions maybe they could teach by example.

(Just so you know, "media" is a plural word. One medium, two media. Forms of communications media are TV, radio, magazines and newspapers (print) and teh internets.)

All the topics you'd like to see addressed on every television channel Fox are constantly beaten to death on the radio and especially online, as I guess you know, since that seems to be where you acquired your interpretation of many of these topics. They're covered by what you call "the liberal media," but they're covered responsibly -- maybe that's why you dont recognize them.

There's a lot wrong with American television "news," but maybe the topics you'd like to see addressed are ignored because they're stupid. "Obama's recent speech where he twisted the meaning of the Statue of Liberty"? "Obama's close ties with Soros and SEIU"? "How people see Obama as some sort of savior"? That's all the lowest internet garbage. Television news time costs money you know.

Other stuff -- for instance, how much pork was in the stimulus before it passed -- besides being readily available online through .gov and watchdog and news sources has been addressed in "the liberal media" (non-Fox TV) at length.

"ties/beliefs/connections...." covered. Van Jones -- covered, once it became news.

Your whole list of complaints indicates you're confused: you seem to want television news to be presented as opinion and editorials. Did you know that delivery of the news is not supposed to be opinionated?

Maybe you're so used to information being packaged for you in certain ways that you dont know how to find it, recognize it when you see it, follow it or understand it as presented in a boring, unslanted, honest manner.
It can even be damaging to a TV station's or newspaper's reputation if they pay too much attention to odd thing such as conspiracy theories and rumors

the media does do its job.
the media is often blamed for not reporting our opinion instead of not reporting an event.
like most of us the media is subject to manipulation. but the fact an event gets reported by somebody is a good thing.
lots of posters on CDF would like events to stop being reported. their priority is "correct image" not the news. the oppressed have become the oppressors. this is an important post on independence day freedom and liberty day.

It's amazing that it's not obvious to more people that the purported "News Media" is not really news at all. It's just an "Agenda Machine".

Yesterday was an excellent example of what we're getting from the mainstream very leftist media.

ABC news was reporting that some hispanic Tea Party member named James Michael Holmes did the shooting at the Batman movie. And other media sources were linking facebook pages of people from Tennesee, trying to convict innocent people.

It turns out the shooter is a liberal from a very liberal state -- but you won't get much truth from the leftists media.

You should go back and get your updated instructions from the Breitbart machine: they're now saying that instead of being a registered Democrat the guy under arrest for the shootings may not be registered at all.

This is indicative of the new 24 hour news cycle, not left/right bias. The news is no longer adequately fact checked in the race to report the story first.
