Drug lobby showers money on its hero Harry Reid | Washington Examiner (http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/politics/Drug-lobby-showers-money-on-its-hero-Harry-Reid-97882064.html - broken link)

"But "Nevada families" didn't pay for the ad. The drug lobby did. And while the TV spot makes only passing reference to the health care bill passed in March, there's no doubt this ad buy -- and the rest of the drug industry's generosity toward Harry Reid -- is a big thank you for the corporate-welfare "reform" bill that Reid shepherded through the Senate."

A big wet kiss to the left. Big Pharma certainly got it's monies worth.

Big Pharma planted its big wet chops on GWB not long ago. So what's the point?

Was it GWB who promised to change things by not bowing down to lobbyists?

Big Pharma has higher % profit than most major industries - oil included. Exxon has to compete against imported oil, but big pharma has prevented us importing the meds they sell at dirt cheap prices in other countries. The healthcare debate was targeted mostly against insurance companies, not against big pharma since the later had been paying off both sides.

Contribution information is out there for anyone to see. I'm sure the Dems did their homework on Reid and are 100% behind him and his big Pharma buddies.

Well of course they are paying the dems off more than the repubs, Why?
They are the crooks holding power now. When the next group of crooks take over, to line their pockets, the payoffs will swing the otherway as usual. I'm tired of both parties and have no more use for them anymore. The payoffs are quite obvious, each party's actions show it.

Exactly! Both sides of the political spectrum are crooks and I have yet to see a ban on lobbying... I seem to remember though that Obama promised no more crooked government... I guess it was like Nixon saying he was not a crook... apparently both lied... There was a thread about separation of church and state earlier... I can't believe the OP was blind to an even bigger problem... the bedroom business between Big Business and Big Government...
