Please, people who deny Christian extremism, usually are Christian extremists...you know the guys who kill gays and abortion doctors, advocate making homosexuality illegal, instituting prayer in school...I know some of this stuff must sound familar.
While these things have been done in the name of Christianity by extremists they are not taught in the Bible.
On the other hand I have posted some teachings from the Koran that advocate, if not demand, the murder of Infidels if they do not convert.
It doesn't matter what it says. Anyone of any religion can be a "good" american. Remeber that whole separation of church and state thing our Founders wrote into the Constitution....yeah, that.

I think that you, in your ignorance of what the Koran says to do to kafirs like you and I, really don't know a damned thing about Muslims and will never understand why with reading that link you may never know until it it too late. Let me tell you one thing there that you need to know is that in that later part of the book Mohammed told his followers to kill kafirs. You are one of those I think and have no idea why they want to kill you.
Actually, you need very much to read that link since you know so little about the whole thing. All you are trying to do is tell us old farts that you are superior to us because of where you live and all that good schooling and medicine you have. You need to know that what the man is talking about is that Americans are what they are because of politics and Muslims are taught from the Koran that they aren't like us and can't be. What any of them do politically seems to me to be what they have been taught about what to do with kafirs. Surely a good Muslim follows the teachings of Mohammed but maybe they just don't do that. I have never known a Muslim who I was afraid of because he wanted to kill me, although there are plenty of them around and if they are good Muslims and live by the Koran they will kill me since I am a kafir.
You guys who are afraid to read something like that because you may learn something you don't want to know will remain ignorant right up to the time one of them comes for your life with his knife.

TG, these people aren't able to discuss that link because none of them read any of it. They don't know that the article talks about Islamism being purely political in nature and that they are using literal defining of the last part of the Koran and never the first part. Anybody who says that Muslims are all peaceful has no idea what the differences in the two distinctive parts of the Koran are like. It is so much like the two books of the Holy Bible, in that the God of Israel was a punishing one and the God of the New Testament is a forgiving God in every case.
Not reading links shows a fear that you may learn something other than what you want to believe. That is what really chaps my behind at these people who come stomping in making all kinds of noise without knowing what is going on.

rather than just blatantly judge them, and make horrific assumptions abotu their character and willingness to assimilate, why not trying learning about their religion.
