Probably why the Government sees no real revenue from the idea of taxing Marijuana.
The government sees revenue from taxing pot. While not physically addictive, millions use it and it has become part of our culture...It's just that so many now depend on the drug war gravy train for their livelihood.
There is always going to be someone doing something that someone doesnt agree with.
How about 20.00 per beer and I dont drink so its fine
Drive a mile that is 50.00 because they are very dangerous- For those that use bicycles
How about 100.00 per liquor bottle- I dont drink either so its fine
Own a baseball bat will be 60.00 because this could hurt someone-I dont play so oh well
The ball for the bat will be 30.00 you can hit someone in the head-^
Gas for your car 50.00 a gallon because kids huff it and get high-It doesnt smell like roses and can harm many
There is many things that can harm us that someone doesnt agree with.

Yeah, I've always been a bit fearful that if they didn't have druggies to bust, they'd bust me. I've been known to think out loud.
Smokers are used to coughing up a lot -- but this is getting ridiculous.
The price on a pack of cigarettes has skyrocketed to $14.50 at some New York City stores thanks to a hefty new tax -- leaving even the most nicotine-addicted buttheads considering nixing their fix.
"This is my last cigarette ever!" fumed William MacLeod, 45, of Brooklyn. "At $15 a pack, this is ridiculous. It's a good excuse for me to quit."
Thank goodness i am not or never have been a smoker, nasty habit anyways, oh well, if i were a smoker, this would make me stop, too much dang money spent on a wasteful, nasty habit!
For those that say good, "wish it was even more". May I ask when people finally quit and government is faced with lost revenue will you being willing to be taxed to make up for it?
Can we have a $4 dollar tax per quart of milk? Why not? You don't need milk, all you need to survive is water.

we all make choices on what to spend out money on. if marijuana was legal and I wanted a pack, 14 bucks, 40 bucks or 100 bucks I would pay the price.
same thing w/smoking I would either have to struggle through the hardships of a quit or pay the price. I want good vodka and not the cheap stuff I will pay for it. when you want something expensive you find a way, maybe give up this or that but you either find a way or you do without simple as that.

Yeah screw calories, nutrients, vitamins, proteins, and all that other good stuff from other things we consume. Your not going to last long by drinking nothing but water all your life.

Well off the top I said milk. But why not coffee? But I bet there are many against cigarettes who love to have their coffee, and would have a fit if they were targeted for their coffee drinking.
