Great post, Mel. I suspected that you were black when I read your first post in another thread and thought someone would push you into telling us about that part of yourself. I take the words of a man about his race to be true until I get a chance to see him to prove that he lied.
And in less than a week the city was considering another one that they hoped would stand. That one showed me that the government of Chicago doesn't like to see the Supreme Court of the US going against them and they are ready to try again.
Well, they were not considering another ban. They are trying to make it hard for people to still legally own the handguns. They are trying to follow the supreme courts ruling, but only to the absolute point they have to. Unfortunately the Supreme Courts ruling wasnt specific enough to stop the regulation fully enough

One of these days they'll get it...criminals will get guns no matter if you have a ban or not.
You could put that ban in all 50 states and they'll still get them. There will always be a black market for this.
Crack down on the crime, not the guns. If law abiding folks could have guns then maybe crime would go DOWN. Seems to be working ok here in Texas where protecting your self and property with a gun is upheld.

Big difference when the local government is violating a right given by the Constitution of the United States of America. Even though it isnt very logical for libs to follow the constitution, since they think they are above it.
