Media blocked from BP spill investigation
Now TSA blocking controversial websites from their employees.

But I can see the chant.."Oh no, can't happen here. Not here. This is the US."
What..it only happens in other countries and in history books ?

I'd advise folks to crack those history books. Read about what lead up to the issues you read about.
Many, many folks know the history facts but NOT the events and twists and turns that lead up to them.

No, no, no. The government has your best interests in mind.
Too much information that might not be true is a threat to Democracy (per Obama to college graduates).

I'm sure the government has our best interests in mind and would make the MOST TRANSPARENT internet all the while insuring our Democracy

Other than ridiculing the idiocy of the assertions that this is intended as something other than what it is, no.

adding insult to injury, you would still get a BILL in the mail from your service provider during this "silence and safety for the sheeple" when GIANT terrorist "swoops down," and attacks us like 911, or worse. Of course, big brother could be behind it all.....the ultimate "pulling the wool over the eyes"

It's threads like these that make think about archiving them and hoping for a worst case scenario to come true so that I can put repost them when the same group of people start running up and down screaming and yelling about how incompetent the government was for not having prevented one.

Anyway...
