I would love for Creationism to be the only theory taught in science classes. I wouldn't have wasted time learning about all those time lines and all that biology if I knew that there was an alternative that could be summed up as "God did it - Fin".
What does evolution have to do with god? The closest I can come is evolution is a system created by god to allow creatures to adapt to changes in the god created environment.
I think the problem here is that there are two primary types of supporters for creationism:
1- God created but didn't evolution is a myth (that it wasn't a part of the design, and note that they speak with quite an authority on it as if they have all the proof necessary to back up their claims... like the Bible)
2- God created but evolution was a part of the design.

Creationism isn't sciece. The theory cannot be falsified. Creationism is a myth. In the history of humanity, it is responsible for many cultural developments--but it is not science and has no part in a scientific curruculum.
As important it is, it should be taught in the hummanities program
simply put, creationism is indoctrination of one faith, if you want it taught, it should be taught not with evolution (biological fact), it should be taught with all other religions/mythology
the whole creationism movement is just a bunch of insecure parents who don't want their children to think for themselves (a large reason why our schools are so unsuccessful)
humans have made use of evolution for years through animal selection and breeding for the most desireable traits.....yet environmental conditions are incapable of causing the same selection that humans do???

I think he was being sarcastic. He's saying it would have been a lot easier.

Maybe America should start a rigorous program of religious cleansing in the school system. That way all obstacles to teaching creationism (the only truth) will be removed.
Well, why the hell ain't science fiction taught in public schools?
I mean, persons need to know stuff, don't they?
