You can always move. I here Florida is great...oh wait, they're worse off than we are.

First you state that there was NO new taxation...Ahemm.. BS!

Where do you come up with a penny?? A 1.25% increase from 5% is a 25% increase in TAXATION!!! Is that how you Libs. were taught math?

Now a small business with $150,000.00 purchases would be paying $1,875.00 MORE with the tax increase. Looks like a lot more than a penny? Oh...Guess who's going to be paying for those increase, You.... when us small businesses pass the extra costs on!!!

Yes we did, then someone died. 60-1 = 59. Simple math....I know Repugs will argue over that.

Btw, the Dems NEVER had 60 votes, Lieberman and Sanders are both independents.

In your OP you said we have a balanced budget(with no new taxation).....Again BS, tax rate was increased 25%. They raised the sales tax because of budget deficits!

"While the economy is showing some signs of life, Massachusetts still faces a yawning budget deficit, with one budget watchdog group placing it at $3 billion."

Joseph Rago: The Massachusetts Health-Care 'Train Wreck' - WSJ.com

Rationing and price controls - a recipe for disaster. But maybe that has been the goal all along. What better way to kill private insurance than to implement artificial price controls and then wait the 10-15 years, as obama said would be necessary, to eliminate private insurance.
Funny sanrene that you always seem to forget that Mitt Romney, one of the top GOP presidential candidates of '08 and also one of the celebrated speakers at the recent GOP/ Tea Partesque convention is the deadbeat Dad of ObammieCare aka RomneyCare 2.0.

You also seem to have forgotten that Paul Ryan's health care plans likewise include rationing and price controls.

Not to mention, if you'd bother to do your homework in the 1st place, there are other factors causing the rise in Mass. health costs.

Sorry Sanrene no cigar, I am not a member of either of the pathetic parties. And I hate to break it to you but you are way to the left of me, see I know a fake conservative when I see one and unlike you I have never voted for a Bush or a McCain.Think about your actions you voted for a closet socialist that worked with Kennedy for the prescription drug plan and of course it was not paid for.
Just because you can spew the {R} talking points does not make you a conservative it just makes you a {R} and as worthless as a bucket of spit.Actions speak louder then words and your words do not even come close to my actions.

Things are very complicated, aren't they? What would you suggest, tort reform?
Got to keep those innocent insurance companies happy don't we? After all they own our asses. History shows us how badly governments can be to its people but little is ever discussed how badly companies treat their host country's citizens at the behest of government.

I like this argument because it assumes businesses receive absolutely no tax write offs.

Wow! 1,875 dollars!!!!!! That's a week of work for one person!

Regardless...It's still a tax increase which in his OP stated there were "No New Taxation"

LMAO...It's never a big deal until it comes out of YOUR pocket! You obviously have no idea what it takes to run a business.

Add that to the increase in property tax, workers comp, liability, utilities, and every other increase and they add up through out the year.

Besides, businesses still have to come up with the extra money when times are tough enough right now. Certain items can only be depreciated over several years so it's not like the whole amount is 100% deductible each year.
