Yes, didn't obama hold up MA UHC as a great example of what obamacare would do for you?

We all know what this administration has in mind, the same kind of price controls Patrick has tried, the same kind of price controls that have always failed.

Joseph Rago: The Massachusetts Health-Care 'Train Wreck' - WSJ.com

Quote:
President Obama said earlier this year that the health-care bill that Congress passed three months ago is "essentially identical" to the Massachusetts universal coverage plan that then-Gov.

The deeper problem is that price controls seem to be the only way the political class can salvage a program that was supposed to reduce spending and manifestly has not. Massachusetts now has the highest average premiums in the nation.
Rationing and price controls - a recipe for disaster. But maybe that has been the goal all along. What better way to kill private insurance than to implement artificial price controls and then wait the 10-15 years, as obama said would be necessary, to eliminate private insurance.

I am sure you are aware that {R} Mitt Romney steered and signed the Mass bill,I wonder at what length you will go to support Mitt if he is the nominee in 2012? I can say he would never ever get my vote unless at gun point.

There is a push in the Commonwealth for a single payer system, with the thinking it is cheaper [it reduces admin costs], can be better regulated, covers more people. There is also a push for insurance buy in-sorta what was proposed by Obama in the first place [rejected by the Reps]. Not as cheap as single-payer, but is still very cost effective.

There is no doubt, it has cost the state a lot of money, but we're still better off than many states this time-we still have a balanced budget [with no new taxations], which isn't bad in a tough economy. Texas, will face an $18 billion budget shortfall-67% of the Massachsusetts budget, for example.

So conservatives, let's heat it....tell us how much you hate Massachusetts. But lest you forget, it was the obstructionists Repuglican Party in Congress that destroyed any meaningful reform.

People have NO IDEA what's going to happen to health care next year!! We've had it here for 4 years now and it doesn't work. Premiums have increased dramatically, mine went up 40% this year alone! This bill does nothing to control costs!

Fully aware..Why do you think Mitt hasn't been saying anything about this? Because he knows this bill is a joke just like the one he mandated on us here in Mass.!!! Even at gun point, I'd let them shoot me first before I voted for him!
