Sure looks that way!

David Plouffe: If the GOP doesn’t win pretty much every race, it’s a “colossal failure” « Hot Air

"Trying to reshape expectations for the midterm elections, David Plouffe said Thursday that the Republicans should be expected to make a full sweep of Congress – and key gubernatorial races – given the environmental advantages they have. Anything less, he said, should be seen as a disgrace.

“By their definition, success is winning back the House, winning back the Senate and winning every major governor’s race,” Plouffe, Obama’s 2008 campaign manager, said. “When you’ve got winds this strong in your favor, that’s the kind of election you need to have – or it should be considered a colossal failure.”"

I saw the clip of Plouffe 'splaining his statement. He means, given the build up of expectations for a Republican onslaught in the elections, that if they don't achieve that lofty goal of total domination then the election should be considered a failure for the Republicans.

Just a lame attempt at face saving spin for the D'Ohs.

Of course, they expect something just short of a slaughter so they can claim victory. They're just raisin' the bar.

He is trying to lower the bar for the Dems by raising it so high for their opponents. He knows the political game and is trying to use it.

Of coarse you raise the bar, when you see your opponent is way over the last setting.

Exactly. It's just politics and how you play the game. And no, they haven't given up, the WH is still involved in campaigning.

Of course all this high-fiving and rejoicing is quite meaningless until Nov 3.

No matter which Demopublican or Republicrat majority is elected, the current United Socialist States of America will continue to operate as a socialist democracy, using bribery, opinion polls, and popularity contests to run the government.

The economy won't "turn around", the budget cannot be balanced, the public debt cannot paid off - ever. And you can't even question the validity of the public debt - despite the fact that it is 100% fraudulent. Fed Res never lent 13+ trillion dollars to the U.S. Government.

Details:
//www.city-data.com/forum/16006476-post29.html

Many people hold sincere beliefs that have no basis in the law, in the public record, available in any county courthouse law library.

Try and find the law that violates the constitutional ban on involuntary servitude and compels all Americans to enroll in FICA / Social Security before they can work in their own country.

Try and find the law that punishes any American who does not enroll nor participate in FICA.

Then ask your public servants to explain WHERE the gold coin is, that was lent to the U.S. government, by the Federal Reserve Corporation, to substantiate the public debt in excess of 13 trillion DOLLARS.

(In case you were unaware, that sum computes to 650 billion ounces of gold, stamped into coin. World wide supply (2005 est.) is only 5.3 billion ounces. Audit time, perhaps?)

Those green pieces of paper, with "legal tender" written on them, are not dollars. See Title 12 USC Sec. 411. See USCON, Art. 1, Sec. 8; Sec. 10.

What does all this legal mumbo jumbo mean?

[] The debt, in dollars (gold coin), cannot be paid with "dollar bills" (more debt).
[] There is no way to ever "balance the budget" because there has been no dollars in circulation since 1933.
[] By law, the only way to authorize MORE "dollar bills" is to go deeper into debt. (That's why a "balanced budget" would kill the economy - shutting down the printing press).
[] And this madness cannot be questioned pursuant to 14th amendment, clause 4.

Of course, this system operates on consent - as evidenced by over 300 million "volunteers" who signed up with FICA and dutifully accepted the legal obligation on that impossible public debt. (Look up "contribution" in a legal dictionary).

It is a clever scam, as long as you "play" - it's "heads, they win, and tails, you lose...".

Yep. Just like Republicans are trying to remain tempered about the number of House seats they might take in November. Political parties never want to overpromise. It's too risky.

No doubt, but the I would rather be in the Republicans position than the Dems. Also the WH is seeing polling we don't and is getting out in front of this thing.
