Yes, over the counter.
But that won't happen in this religious nation.

Hell yes, they should. The religious right is so stupid though. They keep this nation so backward. Birth control would reduce abortion but yet they are still against something that benefits their cause.

Morons.

"Should birth control pills be sold over the counter?"

Only if the woman can provide proof she has no STD's.

Do not take this the wrong way, but there are plenty of ignorant people (men and women of all races) that think birth control prevents getting STD's.

That may be so, but why exactly would any woman have to prove anything?

Yes, I have always thought that. But like Avengerfire says there are ignorant people out there and do not heed the side affects..like having a stroke and using birth control pills. That would put to much liability on the pharmacy come to think of it unless the women signed a waiver.
Come to think of it, they should sell both for men and women like in Brittian. (spelling?)

No.... but not because of morality.... but because birth control pills mess with hormones and maybe its best for women to be checked out by their doctor before jumping on the pill, in case they are not suitable candidates for the pill.

Well there are many bacterial STD's in which a woman shows little or no symptoms of, but they are carrying. It may take a few days or several weeks, but when a man gets the symptoms they are obvious. So, add that with my comment above and you get my answer.

Sure as long as it is LAW that NOBODY can sue the manufacturers or anyone else due to the medication because idiots don't know how to use medicine or know about its side effects...
