Well, my post wasnt about ratings, but okay, ratings. The "sad community" remark reflects the measurement of Fox's ratings.
"...there is another important number collected by Nielsen (though only made available to the firm's clients) that tells another story. This is the 'cume,' the cumulative total number of viewers who watch a channel for at least six minutes during a given day. Unlike the average ratings number the media usually report, this number gives the same weight to the light viewer, who tunes in for a brief time, as it does to the heavy viewer.
"How can CNN have more total viewers when Fox has such a commanding lead in average viewers? Conventional industry wisdom is that CNN viewers tune in briefly to catch up on news and headlines, while Fox viewers watch longer for the opinion and personality-driven programming. Because the smaller total number of Fox viewers are watching more hours, they show up in the ratings as a higher average number of viewers."
Some liberals will go to any lengths to cast a shadow on conservative talk radio/television. Feel free to post any link you wish casting doubts on ratings, if that makes you feel better. The FACT is that there are many conservative hosts on the air, and virtually NO liberals.
That should tell you something. The liberal swill, whine, and shrill message doesn't sell to Americans. It's been tried and it has failed. Air America comes to mind.

Next.
It tells me that you all need television to give you a sense of community as well as guidance in forming "your" opinions. And we dont
"Any lengths," um, those are facts I quoted to you. You dont have to like them.
"Fox News Channel is a very successful channel," she says. "It's very targeted, and the people who watch Fox News Channel watch a great deal of television.

Maybe this is the problem.
They think it's a badge of honor. "I participate!"
Well bluster all you want, but you can't deny the ratings and the number of people that listen. That tells me that there are more of you lamebrained lefties listening than like to admit.
I suppose those rating numbers are just "pretend", right?
Let's see what the ratings are for the liberal counterparts, if you can find them. BWAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAhahahahahahaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!!
I've asked this before and didn't get a serious answer, so here goes again:
how does quantity of listeners/viewers equal veracity of any given program?
The truth doesn't bend to superior numbers, no matter how many people believe in/listen to/watch something.
Sponge Bob Square Pants consistently beats Beck in the ratings. By the reasoning of some folks, they should all immediately move to a pineapple under the sea since ratings equal truth and guidance.
maybe it is now the viewers but what they are watching:
For the week of June 28-July 4, the top 10 shows, their networks and viewerships: "America's Got Talent" (Wednesday, 9 p.m.), NBC, 12.94 million; "America's Got Talent" (Tuesday), NBC, 10.23 million; "The Bachelorette," ABC, 9.77 million; "NCIS," CBS, 9.75 million; "Two and a Half Men," CBS, 8.84 million; "Wipeout" (Thursday), ABC, 8.74 million; "NCIS: Los Angeles," CBS, 8.28 million; "Wipeout" (Tuesday), ABC, 8.24 million; "The Mentalist," CBS, 8.18 million; "The Big Bang Theory," CBS, 8.07 million.

The media did cover it and did so after hid death They mentioned Byrd's past They talked about his days in the KKK, his vote and filibuster against the Civil Rights Act. Beck just flat out lied and said no one covered it
Even CBC and CTV up here in Canada mentioned Byrd's past association with
the KKK, so did CNN.
