Just imagine how F'd this place would be if the fools that actually wanted to elect him president won out? The guy really is a moron and obviously hasn't noticed our military people in Germany, Japan, Cuba, Bosnia, Kosovo, etc..
doesn't really matter, though, because his supporters are actually even more incompetent. You wouldn't think it is possible, but then you read some of the posts around these parts.
Even after the promised "withdrawal," (which is actually moving those troops to another unwinnable war), the current Administration clearly states that 35,000 to 50,000 troops will still remain in Iraq. The peak number of American soldiers was 187,900 in 2008. So Obama thinks leaving more than 25% of the maximum number of troops is a "withdrawal" and that particular war is "over."
All the other "Coalition" nations left Iraq long ago. They had the sense to end the idiocy, even though they lost almost nothing compared to us in terms of lives: As of January 2010, 4,692 Coalition soldiers had been killed in Iraq. Of these over 4,400 were American. Let's not even talk about the financial waste, which is something our current President obviously couldn't care less about.
I do not know what is worse, the addiction of both political parties to their senseless, unwinnable wars? The way Washington calls a re-deployment of some forces, with over 25% of troops still left, a "withdrawal" and get away with it? Or the fact that no matter how many trillions of tax dollars are borrowed and wasted waging unwinnable and pointless foreign wars, no matter how many Servicemen and Women die or return home permanently disabled, we as citizens do nothing?
I'll believe it when I see it. I'm assuming that if this does happen or even begin to happen it will coincide with the 2012 election...either way I'm not holding my breath

That is not what Biden said. He said we will be down to 50,000 non combat role troops THIS year and they will be completely GONE by December of 2011. To quote "by the end of next year we will not have ANY troops there".
No;because its Biden. If it were someone liek Gates :i would beleieve it.I have heard him and many others that we will not zero for a long time.Of course we are still in geramny and japan to see a history .
That is amusing. Iraq will hate losing US dollars.
What US money? Since 01' cheney's halliburton took over the oil fields. Kill the middle man, and usurp all that sweet, sweet $$$ for big oil.
