Haiti may accept and even desire American annexation, but there is no way they would accept French annexation. France did screw Haiti pretty badly.

Come on, look at the good side...we could join them and, instead of wearing business suits, we could paint our faces and naked bodies, then dance around huge bonfires to trance music. It would be a great way to meet people and have fun.

Just what we need - NOT. Are you insane. We already have enough problems with this "group", why in the world would you want more? Is the murder rate not high enough for you. Out of Wedlock birthrate not high enough for you? Welfare roles not swollen enough for you. Do you have a deathwish for the USA? GSTHA

Puerto Rico has been sorta annexed by the US since 1898 and we've made it up to Mississippi or Arkansas status since all that time

Like an old Bela Lugosi movie. Frightened horses, women fainting, men in white linen shorts chewing on special leaves.......
