Since the Mayor is the top LE agent of any city they should be holding fmr. Mayor Nagin to some level of accountability in connection with these shootings/murders.

That makes almost zero sense. Are you serious, you are blaming Ray Nagin for the crimes of white police officers murdering innocent blacks?

Talk about an alternate reality.

Yes it will.....It's terrible that this happened, regardless of who is found guilty and who is not.

That's kind of like holding Bush accountable for stuff the black people in his administration did, isn’t it?
You can’t possibly be from the New Orleans area.

EDIT:
and for the OP, yes, it will be interesting.

I think New Orleans as a whole, has had alot of corruption within the police department and city hall for years. That is regardless of what color is power or what color is in uniform.

Interesting that the charges were THROWN OUT by the district Louisiana courts.

The old south is still alive and well.

Unfortunately, mischief and mayhem happens everywhere, not just in the South. This was a tragic event that happened to a city that my wife and I dearly love.....

I guess the alternate reality is deciding that just because the chief law enforcement officer of the city is of color that he has absolutely no accountability for the actions of the officers serving below him. That he has no duty to follow through with the investigation as well.

Actually, since I had not seen a photo, I had no idea of the races of anyone involved. You see, to me the law is the law and the chain of command bears responsibility. Color has nothing to do with it other than the law being written on white paper with black ink.

Louisiana and New Orleans have a long, long history of corruption, from Huey Long to Ray Nagin and in between.

Oh, there is a reason the lady symbol of justice is blindfolded, you see, it is colorblind, unlike the poster to whom I am responding.
