I am an ex Sailor, and could not disagree more with this misguided young man. War is just that...War. It is not pretty and it is not romantic. There are deaths and sometimes innocent people do get killed. That does not make it right or just, but it is indeed a fact. I wish there were no more wars--EVER! I know though, we will always have wars till the end of time. Man will never learn to accept peace as a way of life......
what a great man, he is calling the Americans terrorists. Moderator cut: Language

Even sadder than what this misguided young man says is that his ilk has now been promoted to high ranks and now lead. War is war and it is black and white. One who sees war in shades of gray should not be a soldier but instead a lawyer.

You missed the point.

Yes, that's how war is, and it's moderately acceptable in some forms. Iraq is not one of them. Thank G-d your opinion is in the minority of soldiers I know.

They also shouldn't be able to call themselves human. War is nothing if not shades of gray.

Wher did I say anything about the Stars and Stripes? Don't put words in my mouth. As I said, "War is hell". Doesn't matter if the US is involved or not. War anywhere is terrible and has untold consequences. You need to take the blinders off, and quite trying to make what a poster says, fit into your little box of what you want to think about them......

Who? Lawyers or soldiers?
