Yeah, I have a lot of the same questions. I don't understand why we're even debating things like gay marriage and what not when we have so many more pressing issues that affect us all. Does anyone think that if two dudes were allowed to marry it might somehow make the economy worse? Why do we have to have laws governing people's personal lives to begin with?

Thats why I am a registered Libertarian. I guess I'm kind of like one of the previous posters when he stated he prefers to associate with his Democrat friends. They tend to be a lot more fun.

That would be fine but I think her intent is to go farther than that. To legislate "healthy eating" or what her perception of healthy is. That is beyond what I am comfortable with. It is the parents responsibility to offer children healthy choices and to teach them by example, not the governments.
