Hot Air » Video: Demand for probe into MN felon voting grows

YouTube - Are Prosecutors Trying To Conceal Minnesota's Felon Voter Problem?

Let me state this first before someone asks or makes a deal of it. Even if a probe found that felons voted and indeed they swayed the results, the election can not be taken away from Franken (yes, unfortunate as hell but what can you do).

And yes liberals, you know as well as I do that it's nearly a certainty that the felons would vote in favor of Franken (a LIBERAL) over a Conservative. Felons and liberals....seems like you guys make quite the family.

Now that that's out of the way.....

I dont know whether to laugh or cry. This DOJ has proven to be so corrupt and despicable. Eric Holder is the worst Attorney General EVER! Here is a man who urged the pardoning of terrorists, he basically called America a nation of racists when he called us cowards, he ignores voter fraud based on skin color, and now this. Even if you are one of those that would be Obama's personal butt wiper, how can you be proud of Holder? How could you be okay with this man as attorney general let alone holding ANY position in our government?!

PS - Liberals this is not about overturning the results, though I wish they could be. This is about preventing this sort of bs from happening in the future. Either you care about that sanctity of our voting rights and laws or you dont.

Of course the Feds are disinterested. It's not a Federal issue. There is no Federal law regarding voting by convicted felons. The legal ability of people with felony convictions to vote varies from state to state. Some states allow felons to vote from prison while other states permanently ban felons from voting even after being released from prison, parole, and probation, and having paid all their fines.

In Minnesota, people with felony convictions may vote upon completion of all supervised release.

Why would they ask for DOJ help or assistance if there is nothing DOJ could do?

We have a transparent government. Transparently rotten to the core!

Rotten at the municipal, state and federal levels. Remove them all from office the next elections!

They are only interested in pursuing REAL criminals and travesties of justice. You know, like the state of Arizona for trying to protect it's citizens from the ill effects of illegal immigration.

Oh, wait..

To the usual suspects, you know ...the defenders of anything remotely close to Obama:

"The federal government is required under the Civil Rights Act and the Help America Vote Act to make sure that states purge their voter rolls of ineligible voters — the dead, those who have moved, felons, undocumented immigrants, etc. — and to ensure that elections are administered and conducted fairly, said Dan McGrath, executive director of Minnesota Majority.
But the conservative watchdog group's review of Minnesota's voting records found that the government apparently did not fulfill that obligation in the state in 2008, which in turn affected the number of voters whose ballots were counted -- and possibly the outcome of the dead-heat election."

Seems to me the feds didnt to their jobs again. And now, predictably the DOJ wants nothing to do with it. However, if the tables were turned and Franken lost by 300 votes we wouldve had a firestorm over this. Then again, felons arent likely to vote for a conservative. Thats gotta sting doesnt it Liberals....oh wait, that would require you to care more than just how many votes you get no matter who they are from...and itd require some morals and self reflection.

Wouldn't the state of Minnesota have to conduct a probe FIRST,OP,before the Feds intervened? And if it has not, then why hasn't it?

Tell me...does everything Glenn Beck,Rush and Fox News state as needing "investigation" really require investigation?
