Read the entire statement:

NAACP Delegates Vote to Repudiate Racist Elements Within Tea Party | NAACP

Knowledge is power, folks.

Today, NAACP delegates passed a resolution to condemn extremist elements within the Tea Party, calling on Tea Party leaders to repudiate those in their ranks who use racist language in their signs and speeches.
Okay. Let me know when the expel the racist, extremists from their own ranks.
They came out with this out of no where and for no reason. Being hypocrites while doing so.

Will the tea party attacks against the NAACP backfire ?
I think you have that backwards. This country is well aware of the partisan and racist nature of the NAACP and they have little credibility left.

Their criticisms and charges are easily debunked, along with their "concern".

Can the Tea party survive with less than 1% of the Black vote? Probably less than that now. There are only so many hillbillies in the USA.

Since the Tea Party is not a political party, I don't see the point.

The democrats get at least 90% of the black vote anyway, obama got 96%. That fact doesn't prevent republicans/conservatives from winning elections.

According to Gallup 6% of tea Party supporters are black.

Tea Partiers Are Fairly Mainstream in Their Demographics

The NAACP is right in calling this farcical organization racist. Those who are not racist will support the NAACP. Those who are part of the problem support the Tea Party.

In the meantime, president Obama doing a fine job and we are fortunate to have this man at the helm. Klan-like organizations like the Tea party have no place in modern society and in time, they will go underground just like the klan, supporting the inferior, bigoted conservative ideology through its many clueless political candidates.

Thumbs up for the NAACP here!

The NAACP is just a aging organization i oits memeebrship. That si why the did not like Obama when he became popular. It has beeen really relavent for several deacdes, The actaul membership is very small nationwide. Any issue helps.

The group is basically irrelevant now, of their own making.

It seems it is quite the opposite form the OPs question to me from waht I have seen. The NAACP has attacked the tea Party to gain a issue that will bring it back from the dessert of politics.

Not a chance. The blacks that are pro Tea Party and against this criminal administration would also be against the racist NAACP.
