The memebership in most areas as died to a trickle . It is not what it use to be and they just are wanting to have issues to try to reclaim some under the age of 60.I mean Jesse jackson is lucky to get on TV now.
It's a horrible assertion and even more horrible goal on their part. No good will come of it. Either the school voluntarily dumbs down their program or tax payer money is blown trying to fight this. Way to go NAACP, you officially lost what little cred you had left.
This crap is just the latest version of the "self-esteem" movement. You know the leftist moonbats that got rid of F's, red markings on test papers, making sure everyone gets a trophy when playing a competitive game....Because things were not FAIR! What a load.
I'll tell you what is not fair....When these racist Moderator cut: language try to hold back exceptional kids. I don't think this crap is going to get far. This group is showing itself to be the idiots we have suspected for years. Expect more of their outrageous, stupid demands...Their group has been exposed and is not long for this world.
Oh....wonder where all the ususal suspects (the woe is me, I'm a victim because of what my great grandmother endured) on these kind of threads are? Even they know their is no defense for this idiocy.

This is a bad move, and a blatant contradiction to the "advancement" aspect of their name. That said, any academic system that is found to operate on the basis of a presumption of black intellectual inferiority should be vigorously challenged. There should be efforts made to ensure that the quality of teaching at the lower tiers does not impede a child's chance to attain the necessary academic qualifications to eventually move upward.
It's kind of silly since this is the way things are going to be going from here on out. In order to remain competitive and give our best a brightest what they need we can't tie them to the lowest achievers. I wonder what the NAACP hopes to gain, or prove, knowing that it's never going to happen.
The town in question does have some Racial problems.......so i'm not really surprised. Its mostly minor stuff , not anything to big.
It is big deal if you're the parent of a high achieving student and the school kowtows to the NAACP and attempts to dumb down your child.
What racial problems are you talking about?
Both SO and Maplewood appear to be paragons of "diversity" as it's defined today

Two or more races (2.7%)
Other race (1.6%)
Chinese (1.4%)
Asian Indian (1.0%)
Filipino (0.7%)
American Indian (0.6%)
Races in Maplewood:

Black (32.6%)
Hispanic (5.2%)
Two or more races (4.0%)
Other race (1.6%)
Asian Indian (0.8%)
Chinese (0.7%)
American Indian (0.6%)
Filipino (0.6%

Those that are of greater (as in "more") means can always pull their kids out of the public school system and go private.
Or worse, move and take their resources with them to greener pastures.
