Wow, that politics.

Complete horse crap, but the right will say there should have never been a stimulus, and the left will say its wasn't enough.

Ain't politics grand.

Both sides are equally full of it.

Buuuuut we can never blame the Republicans for those $20 million worth of signs that are posted on all those shovel ready projects on our highways. That is right, isn't it?

Of course those of us who don't suffer dementia remember clearly hard it was to get the paltry stimulus passed in the first place.
See, the thing was, obama and biden and the "uniquely qualified" team, were happy and pleased with the size of the Failed Stimulus.

Obama Rallies Democrats on Stimulus Package - The Caucus Blog - NYTimes.com

Quote:
While efforts have been under way in the Senate to whittle the plan back to $800 billion or less, Mr. Hoyer said he believed it should be higher, at like $880 billion. Earlier on Air Force One, Mr. Obama was asked by pool reporters traveling with him about the size of the proposal …

Asked if the figure shoud be $800 billion and not more, Mr. Obama said: “Well, I gave you a range. I think we’re in range.”
Obama says stimulus package is right size, scope | Reuters

Quote:
“It is the right size, it is the right scope. Broadly speaking it has the right priorities to create jobs that will jump-start our economy and transform it for the 21st century,” Obama said of the more than $800 billion bill at a rally in Elkhart, Indiana.
Because the Failed Stimulus has failed miserably, obama and biden are now trying to make the case it should have been bigger, even though they were perfectly happy with the size at the time.

Btw, there were many, many economists (some even took out full page ads to obama) claiming the Failed Stimulus was not structured to achieve the goals they set out.

Those that opposed Porkulus were RIGHT.

Stimulus 'Would Have Been Bigger' but for GOP - Political Punch

Now, let's add some truth to the lies. Let's look at the report (Jan 2009) from obama's "uniquely qualified" team, which was in place BEFORE obama's Failed Stimulus proposal to congress and the nation.

Aside from the promise of restarting the economy and keeping UE under 8%, we have this;

Just what obama wanted and GOT - almost $1 Trillion of waste. Completely blows biden's lies out of the water.

The lovely chart, detailing the results;

There is a reason leftist politicians in the US are rarely given the reins - we are seeing everyday why that is so. They have no idea what they're doing.
More balme game, eh?

How is pointing out the facts a blame game? Obama got exactly what he wanted. Biden ca't re-write history.

These guys simply can't accept the fact that what they have done has been ineffectiive. They can't ever admit they are wrong. It is always Bush or Republicans, never them. They will pay for their hubris come November.

Why would they?

China is perfectly happy with their position in the world. Why upset the balance? Everyone is making money right now.

No one wants to rock the boat, by allowing a country of the size and importance of the United States to collapse.

Hell, our military alone prevents us from be allowed to fail. We'll get money from China for decades to come.

They've only SPENT 44% of it. The rest is either "in process" or not spent.
Obama even said not all would be spent up front and many criticized that move saying it wasn't really a stimulus if parts of it were getting put on the shelf for later.

And NOW Biden blames the GOP ?

While the Repubs may be the party of NO, the Dems are turning out to be the Party of "It's ain't my fault".

Almost 2 years in power and the Dems still won't take responsibility for their actions.

How easy it is for some, to just point those fingers at everyone but where they should, THEMSELVES. So hard for some to take any blame at all.
