When you are in a heated political debate and you need some time to respond (maybe you need to look some information up or a link) just misspell a word or two. Words like alot really throw your opponent off. I am sure you have all seen this weaponry work! Heads start spinning, insults start flying but that’s ok because you now have stunned the enemy and have time to reload! So drop an e or transpose some letters! Typos! Typos! Now lock and load!

It seems that someone has no sense of humor and gave me a red mark. Very couragous but not couragous enough to leave their name.

It's just a lighthearted thread about all the spell checkers here. I am constantly coming across post where somone is being belittled about typos and spelling. Alot instead of a lot seems to get them the most.

Oh ok - Everyone makes mistakes. I type fast and sometimes get my letters boggled up.

Of course, when one is typing and is in an upsetting mood, they tend to make mistakes. I always over look them, unless such posters purposely type like crap.

It takes ALOT to tick me off, haha

Since English is not the OFFICIAL LANGUAGE of the USA. I think a movement to vote in TYPONESE should be started, I already speak and write it fluently. (As do most of the illegal immigrants)

Typos are typos. Everyone will post some eventually. The obvious or repeated misspelling of common words that any literate English speaker should have mastered by the tenth grade is a different story. Is it kind to overlook these things? Next week, the poster may misspell this very word in an important situation and be taken for a fool over it. Is it proper simply to let him or her fall into such a fate, or is it better to go ahead and offer the correction that might ward off such an outcome for a lifetime?
