Ask the Republicans in the Senate who have abused the filibuster. There's over 300+ bills being held hostage by the Minority Party of "NO" .. No clue, No concern, No cares or worries, No original thoughts of thier own for solving anything.

The Repubs get some of thier amendments added to these bills hoping for 1-3 Repubs to brake the bobble head ranks and think of the betterment of thier State or the country as a whole. Then they vote against the bill or filibuster it in the Senate not even allowing for a final vote.

It only takes one Repub coward to filibuster any bill sponsered by the Dems and then hide behind some other Republican who just announces the bill is being filibustered by another Repub who chooses not to disclose his name.

What a bunch of cowards.

I guess extending unemployment twice to put food on typical americans tables doesn't count. Any big wall street firm offer to do that? Then taking a balanced budget to a nine trillion deficit by GWB was a great feat according to some. But keep those big tax cuts for the rich coming! After all, you do have the oppurtunity in this cournty to become rich one day yourself and may need those tax breaks. The rich are getting richer but they didn't say anything about more people joining those ranks.

No, it hasn't. The pre-existing conditions clause for children will start in September of this year. So will the clause allowing "kids" to stay on their parents' poicies until age 26, in the absence of any other insurance available to them.

Excuses, excuses.

Do you have a list of accomplishments?

How long did the dems have a fillibuster proof majority?

So the party in power should just be allowed to pass every single piece of crap bill and spend every dime we do not have?

It is called checks and balances which is a good thing.

Please post your list of major accomplishments of the real party of no, the dems. Afterall the real party of no, the dems told the majority of Americans NO on the HC bill that we the majority said NO to but yet they passed it anyway.

Waiting on that huge list of democratic accomplishments. Still nothing?

How can the dem party run on anything this November if they have done nothing for 3 1/2 years but spend and waste?

Waiting on that list........

1.
2.
3.
4.
and so on.

Fill in blanks with those accomplishments.

Passing TARP along with the Bush Administration and many Republicans backing this country away from the economic cliff (although we are still teetering) is another major accomplishment.
An economic stimulus plan is another goal achieved by the Democrats.
A financial reform bill is another big accomplishment that the Democrats can check off of their list.

Whether you think the accomplishments are good or bad, the Democrats have done some big things over the past two years. Things that were on their list. They have been busy and did get things done. You can at least give them respect for that.
You must have me on your ignore list.

What are the major accomplishments of the Democratic Party since 2007?
Increasing the debt by 40+%?

Tripling the deficit?

Losing more than 8 million jobs?

Presiding over the greatest scam in the housing market, resulting in the crisis in the financial sector?

Keeping America dependent on foreign sources of oil that despise us?

At the reins of the greatest expansion of government in 50+ years?

The dems took control of our congress more then 3 years ago and I would like to see a list of any major accomplishments they have under their belt since then.

What have they done for the typical American in the last years?
This type of post is a prime example of the revisionist history Beckites love to put out there.

Lets review what 12 years of Congressional control (1994-2006), 8 years of the Presidency and a majority on the SCOTUS has brought us.

We can start with the policies brought to us by your beloved Dumbya.

[b]"The story of today’s deficits starts in January 2001, as President Bill Clinton was leaving office. The Congressional Budget Office estimated then that the government would run an average annual surplus of more than $800 billion a year from 2009 to 2012. Today, the government is expected to run a $1.2 trillion annual deficit in those years.

For those that don't like to read, this video lays everything out pretty nicely.

The above mainly focuses on Dumbya's reckless spending on illegal wars, cutting taxes especially for the wealthy and initiating an unpaid for nazi/socialist gubbermint health plan.

Dumbya also had a major hand in the subprime mess that brought the global economy to the brink. This is especially interesting for those that keep whining and crying about Fannie and Freddie.

But the back story is more complicated. To begin with, on the day Mr. Falcon issued his report, the White House tried to fire him.

At the time, Fannie and Freddie were allies in the president’s quest to drive up homeownership rates; Franklin D. Raines, then Fannie’s chief executive, has fond memories of visiting Mr. Bush in the Oval Office and flying aboard Air Force One to a housing event. “They loved us,” he said."

The problems with Fannie & Freddie started with Reagan and Greenspan's reckless Ayn Rand infatuation and were exacerbated by Junior.

And despite the financial catastrophe they have caused the formerly known as conservatives have once again proven to be the party of no clue.
The formerly known as conservatives brutally trampled over states' rights.

[b]"But Wall Street was let off the hook by the OCC. Shortly after Georgia's law took effect, the OCC preempted the law at the request of National City Bank, whose subsidiary, First Franklin, was a major subprime lender in Georgia.

Paulie is confirming what many voters instinctively felt in 2008.

And people wonder (http://www.newsweek.com/id/233792 - broken link)why our government is so messed up?

This is what happens when the brains of your operation are disc jockeys and media pundits.
Oh and that's not all folks. Because those that cry about tyranny and dictatorship should have been making noise when Dumbya's puppet master, Darth Cheney was busy plotting on how to inch the republic ever so closer to an empire.

And what fruits came out from the nutjobs that have stolen and defiled the once proud party of Lincoln, ZERO job growth for the 1st time since the depression.

"To mark this week’s focus on the dismal state of the U.S. job market, check out the following chart, which shows the trajectory of private sector U.S. employment since 1998. It tells a story of a lost decade for U.S. workers.

The U.S. now produces fewer private sector jobs than it did a decade ago. This been the case since August, and it’s getting worse. In October, private sector companies employed 108.401 million U.S. workers, a million fewer than in October 1999, when they employed 109.487 million. Not since the Labor Department began tracking payroll employment in 1939 has there been such a stretch with no net job gains.

How to explain the gap? One obvious answer is that the U.S. has suffered through two recessions during this stretch. The first, in 2001, was short and mild but included more than two years of job cuts. The second one starting in 2007 has been long and brutal."

And to make matters worse the corporate activist judges advanced the move toward an oligarchi banana republic when it declared BP and Goldman Sacs are decent, innocent people in dire need of constitutional protection and coddling.

So this is the proud legacy the lunatics that have hijacked the once proud GOP and the right have bequeathed to us and our descendants.

The deliberate death and dismantling of everything the Founding Fathers stood for.

Lets be clear, they are not conservative, they are not right wingers, they are not Republicans.

They are the tea baggin' lunatic fringe cult of Beck and their mission is the destruction of the Constitution and the establishment of a pseudo-Christian fundamentalist state with multi-nationals ruling territories as their own personal fiefdoms.

That is what they are and that is what they are about.
