Anyway ^ another conservative ranting aimlessly....as I had said previously, the Tea Party and any form of it, is little more than an idiot convention-quite prone to shooting itself in the foot.

Isn't it ironic, that an "organic, and beautiful expression" of patriotic people has been co-opted by the established Repuglicans in Congress? But again, they're too stupid to realize any difference. And they want to run the country.

Way2Go.

Truthdig calls her a "Welfare Queen":
Bachmann's family farm received $251,973 in federal subsidies between 1995 and 2006. The farm had been managed by Bachmann's recently deceased father-in-law and took in roughly $20,000 in 2006 and $28,000 in 2005, with the bulk of the subsidies going to dairy and corn. Both dairy and corn are heavily subsidized — or "socialized" — businesses in America (in 2005 alone, Washington spent $4.8 billion propping up corn prices) and are subject to strict government price controls.

So it would appear I'm a far better candidate for the job of representing self reported tea party values if I've never partaken in a dime of subsidy. I've also never authored subsidy. Come to think of it, 90% of Americans are more qualified. Perhaps what they really represent is irrational hatred, vitriol and baseless recrimination to deflect their guilt?

It's wonderful you've traveled outside your own circle. I concur there are 'rednecks' and 'hicks' in every state/ region in USA. I don't consider the language you've chosen to describe them as accurate, however. I'd call it provincial attitudes endemic of rural lifestyles. That's the common theme, not the epithet loaded in your language.

Curious thing about provincial attitudes. Some Americans can travel and actually learn and experience a whole host of things without feeling their own identity threatened. Other Americans will tour Europe with a wall around them looking for McDonalds everywhere they go and believe they know something about where they've been. They missed out on plenty. They do it touring USA as well. They know all they need to know, but it's everyone else who is arrogant.

You know, I like a lot of your posts, lmkcin, but I do believe an attitude adjustment about the rest of the country would be in order. Do you think we all ride horses/ski to work here in CO?

The tea party is the very bestest friend of Massachusets so long as you agree with them? The moment you disagree you commie blue state good for nothing? Yes it is an oddity how they've convinced themselves they're the only 'true americans'.

I took it as sarcasm. Perhaps lmk should clarify.

Thank you harborlady.

I was in fact responding to BigHoss who made some comment about Massachusetts-a fairly typical comment to about my state from the right wing of this country.

So I was merely responding in kind back at him. I have no idea where he lives.

and ps:
I love Colorado, absolutely beautiful, Denver is a class A city. So Kat, I wouldn't take it too personally. It is after all an internet forum.

I'm sure Massachusetts is Bachmann and Palin's favorite place on earth.

Well, I didn't take it as a personal attack, that's just the kind of stuff my kids were asked when they went to college out of state. It's just not cool to make little "jokes" about other states. This is a forum with posters from all over.
