Seems these days we are a Country in Panic. This guy to me only is SCUMBAG, WITH A CAPITAL S. So sorry but what matters most is that she did end up helping the white farmer in the end, he has even come forward, people need to know the whole story before jumping to conclusions. In the end she did help this White Farmer, and he is grateful, and for over 20 years she continued helping poor people. This White House does not work on ethics, should of been looked into further without jumping the gun.

Yep, like Obama firing that IG for looking into his buddy's fraud case in California.

I will say this on every thread about the Sherrod incident:

Here is the BOTTOM LINE:

If McCain were POTUS (or any white man) we would NEVER have heard of an obscure woman named Shirley Sherrod. The ROOT of the racism here is white racists digging up any dirt they can find- even editing a speech from 1986, when Ms. Sherrod was NOT even a D of A employee. The ROOT of it is that we have a black POTUS and some "people" cannot stand that fact. PERIOD.

And that's just the big stuff.

It would seem that your concern is a one way street, so to speak.

Anyone defending the people who did these things?

Bush SR retried the cops who beat King in federal court and got convictions.

You can't point to actions everyone condemns and compare them to actions excused, minimized and rationalized.

The issue remains the reaction of the crowd at the dinner.

Apparently, the farmer in question actually came forward and said that she did nothing to discriminate against him.

Also, I'm wondering why nobody ever accuses conservatives of "playing the race card" when they go around calling blacks racist.

Thanks, she was of course discriminatory at first,no-one denies that I am sure.

But it appears from the link you provided this is about the attitudes of the NAACP member in attendance....

I think everyone agrees laughing about someone being discriminated against is suspect.

Right?

If you watch the ENTIRE speech, you will see that she was being acknowledged for her change of heart.

If he could care less, that would imply that he does in fact care, I would think that an author/columnist would know the difference and use his words correctly.

I recon the title and the quote from the link should say that he couldn't care less, but, perhaps he can actually care less, in which case, he should.
