What I like to add is Republican and Democrat. They are just party names and they have been associated with Conservatives and Liberals. However most issues are not that neat especially on the Republican side.

A good conservative should believe in a pure market economy with a strict interpretation of the constitution. But often they don't they bend it to suit their ideas and goals on the subject.

A perfect example is gambling. In its truest sense of the word, gambling is the ultimate conservative exercise. You are taking your hard earned money and doing it as you please. With no government interference you are trying to make more money on a game of chance, that you have agreed to play. No one forced you to do it. There is nothing in the constitution that prevents people from playing so as a strict interpreter you should be ok with it. But most anti-gambling people in government are Republicans. Even sports betting is attacked. HOWEVER, most of those same Republicans believe in another form of gambling which is very similiar to going to Las Vegas and that is the stock market.

There is NO difference in putting money down on a sports game and predicting a team will win, and calling a broker and putting the same amount of money down on a stock thinking that the profits will rise. NO DIFFERENCE in concept. As a matter of fact, there is MORE government regulation and interference in the stock market than in a casino.

That's just a small example of the hypocrisy of the Republicans, they say they are for no government interference but only when it suits there needs.

...Economically:

A far right winger believes in pure capitalism, with absolutely no government regulation or interference. The commodities trading boards (ie the last scene in "trading places" is the best example)

A far left winger believes in pure communism, with the state owning everything. (North Korea)

Just (YOU MEAN JUST TO THE RIGHT) to the left of the communist, is the socialist that believes people can own property, however the government will "take care of people" and tax them heavily. (western europe)

(YOU MEAN TO THE RIGHT) To the left of socialism is a market economy which is actually a mix of capitalism and government interference, people own things and can make a profit the argument is how much can government step in. (US)

There are other categories but that is the most general that people talk about.
You made some grave errors. I corrected them in bold.

Those Republicans are the religious wing of the Republican party. The religious wing of the Democrats oppose gambling just the same and are just as hypocritical.

and that is another point entirely.

religion to conservatives, SHOULD be a personal thing. It is between them and GOD. Just like a true conservative does not want government in their life and they want to be free to live life with out anyone interfering, the far right believes in the opposite, they believe that religion SHOULD be in everyone's life, and should determine government policy. I know a lot of religious democrats who don't believe this way.

Just another example.

There are anti-abortion Democrats for example. Especially down south. The Kennedy brothers were all anti-abortion as well.

Yup, Bush/Cheney was the most far right president we have ever had, and the damage done to our country, and that will continue until more moderate judges gain the majority in the supreme court, is astounding!

President Bush was as far away from far right as a Republican can get on most of his most important issues.

The idea that this guy is the "ideal" far right President belongs in the realm of unicorns and conspiracy theories.
