This is actually good though they may not be so lucky next time. Understand that the jobless are not responsible for whats wrong with the economy. Who controls the quantity of money is responsible for this great depression we are entering into, the same money controllers caused the last great depression too.

You know, aren't we all for tax cuts?

Part of this is that firms that hire long term unemployed don't have to pay payroll taxes for these employees.

But Obama is soooo anti-business OMG!!!!!!!1111111

ofgs -Of COURSE employers pay payroll taxes, don't be so disingenuous - employers pay L & I taxes (that pay for UE & worker's comp) and match SS & Medicare.......

They ONLY collect federal and state income tax and the employEE's share of SS & Medicare........and employee's share of UE for any state that has that (I think NJ may be the only one)

Uhmmm, you really shouldn't post when you don't know what you're talking about.

Employers are required to match the employee's share of Social Security taxes that come out of their payroll.

Or, on preview, what Opyelie said.

Employers are required to pay a higher rate of social security tax than an employee. It's more than a match.
