Why would you wand a mosque in your neighborhood?
Are you aware of the call to prayer thing five times a day?
It could be very loud and annoying.

Closing them after a judge has agreed that there's sufficient legal proof that illegal activities take place? Good idea.

But if you think authorities in modern Germany would preemptively go in to stop a house of worship from being built because of its specific faith, you're nuts. They've been down that road.

Judging by the replies, it'd turn the neighborhood into party central - or perhaps the right-wingers wouldn't be quite willing to put their money where their mouths are?

Incidentally, I've lived less than half a mile from a (very beautiful) mosque back in Germany. No calls to prayer, it was against noise regulations. That's the kind of stuff you can handle with zone laws.

And yes, we should be looking into all funding sources where radical Islamic Imam's are involved with mosques in the USA.
Assuming the iman surrenders and moves the mosque 5 blocks uptown, do the opponents walk away and declare victory or continue to ask for full disclosure of their funding.

Or, if they give up on building the new mosque, will they be run out of the old building they currently use in the same location because they are still Muslims who are too close to the World Trade Center?

Why don't we address with the subject at hand? This location and this Imam's insensitivity about this Mosque while the funding is at question.

The foundation for this Mosque is one built on pure deception.

Well thats my question, what is a good location? So is it the location or the funding because we don't seem to be worried about how they got their funding for any other mosques. There are other organizations that already track the funding for terrorists groups is that now to become Bloomberg's responsibility?

The latest this morning -- the Imam is going to Saudi Arabia, possibly one other country was mentioned (I didn't catch that) to raise funds. And he's going on taxpayer dollars - at our expense - because he's on some kind of government appointed interfaith committee.

Now, don't anyone pipe up and say he's insensitive. Evidently he has every right to have us foot the bill for this trip.

At least that will be more honest.
I'm all for that - for all religious extremism on the left, the right and somewhere "out there".
