If Paul ran for president in 2012 with Kucinich as his VP imagine how much American politics would be shaken up.

That would mean the final end to the whole "left"/"right" divide in America.

Ron Paul will run in 2012 if not to win but to continue a message and that basically is LEAVE ME ALONE, stop being the policeman of the world and let economic and social liberty reign.

Right now he is popular with the media and americans.
When he becomes a threat to the elite and the established order in elections he will be degraded, put on a media blackout and Ron Paul wont have a chance.
Question is will the America people be SMART enough to see it or just believe everything they see or hear.
We wants no income tax, no endless wars, to end the FED all of these mean serious political and economic concerns for those who run the system. Remember that.

He knew it long before then and tried to stop the mess in the summer of 2002 with the Fair Housing Act

Mr. Speaker, I rise to introduce the Free Housing Market Enhancement Act. This legislation restores a free market in housing by repealing special privileges for housing-related government sponsored enterprises (GSEs). These entities are the Federal National Mortgage Association (Fannie), the Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corporation (Freddie), and the National Home Loan Bank Board (HLBB). According to the Congressional Budget Office, the housing-related GSEs received $13.6 billion worth of indirect federal subsidies in fiscal year 2000 alone.

One of the major government privileges granted these GSEs is a line of credit to the United States Treasury. According to some estimates, the line of credit may be worth over $2 billion. This explicit promise by the Treasury to bail out these GSEs in times of economic difficulty helps them attract investors who are willing to settle for lower yields than they would demand in the absence of the subsidy. Thus, the line of credit distorts the allocation of capital. More importantly, the line of credit is a promise on behalf of the government to engage in a massive unconstitutional and immoral income transfer from working Americans to holders of GSE debt.

If Ron Paul (or Dennis Kucinich) were in the oval office he wouldn't be so popular once having to govern. Furthermore, he refuses to do the posturing and zig-zagging on the issues necessary to get the nomination in the first place.

Agreed. Both are issues. Such a large number of voters rely on programs that are pushing this country into bankruptcy. Voters who are educated and knowledgeable on the constitution and the true building blocks of economics are highly out-numbered.

Actually, he predicted it in 1988

I'm not sure even a Libertarian President and Congress could fix over 200 years cancerous government growth.

The red line shows Ron Paul's popularity and the blue line shows Obama's. Note how the entire year, the red line has been at least three time higher than the blue line.

Now for a closer look, let's see how their popularities compare in the past 30 days, with the "wonderful job" the president is doing handling the BP Oil clean-up, his popularity should be increasing right? WRONG! The statistics show RPs ratings are about 5 times higher than the President's (especially if you look at the United States statistics under the charts) and this is based on both of them having comparable news coverage-- (see the lower chart with both the blue and red lines at the same level).

Maybe there is hope for the people of this country being able to discern the difference between an honest qualified and experienced candidate and a puppet for the New World Order AFTER ALL.
