While I agree with his assertion that the Constitution should be strictly adhered to, the real message is, it worked for Perry in Texas, maybe it will work for me too......

In other words, it's a bad case of...... Z.Wamp gas......

YC.......

You think any of these empty threats will actually happen? I mean Perry got himself re elected by fooling the people of Texas into thinking he was all states rights and all and now would not give a crap about this but I just wonder if people will eventually get ready to secede.

Idiots. If most people in the nation supported them, they would get control of the White House and congress. Instead of doing the hard work which takes years, they pick something which would ruin them financially. For every $1 paid in taxes, they get back $1.27. Maybe if they supported a rule, $1 paid in for every $1 paid out by state, the size of the Federal budget might shrink. But that won't happen, because despite what they say, they love Federal handouts.

It won't happen because no matter what these politicians say in the end they are politicians they are only going to do what is good for them and makes them get elected. No matter what party they are from a politician is the worst thing in the world personally. There is no way they will allow the Federal Govt to get smaller because then they lose power.

These empty secession threats indicate some politicians think at least a part of their target audience is real stupid. They are probably right.

The implication of such promises is to (a) deflect the blame (b) promise blue skies. The real purpose is to get votes. People fall for this kind of stuff - however far-fetched it may be. Politicians are abusing the people they represent.

LoL, so to solve his anger that what the federal government is not doing something he likes (not violating the constitution)...he want's to violate the constitution himself? Irony, thy name is politics. Not like anything would ever happen, being without any ports and dependent on federal tax revenue to survive.
