take the league of the south, for example. they are weird, true, but are listed as a "Hate Group" simply because the people who run the SLPC have an ideological disagreement with them.
So a group that exposes "White Nationalism" and the idea that blacks are not and can not be classified as American Citizens with those constitutional rights are not a hate group in your mind??!!

I consider teaching a child racial hatred to be equal to teaching them to lie and steal. It is a sad situation, since most of the bigots I have known (and I grew up in the Jim Crow South) are cowards who need a group to look down on in an attempt to make themselves look better in their own eyes. They don't have the guts to deal with people on an individual basis, so they hide behind a curtain of hatred for a class or group.
And they had to be taught their prejudice.

I have worked with WHITE 8th grade students who could not spell or write a full sentence. These kiddo's parents thought everything was a-ok and that their kid should be allowed to wear their gang insignia to school. All the while, quite oblivious and uncaring of the fact that their 14 year old was illiterate.
I have worked in an inner city almost entirely BLACK school where I saw kids being mobbed over NOTHING. Truly. Nothing.
I grew up going to a highly elite prep school where everyone was guaranteed entry to college. Sadly, a shocking, small percentage of students of this majority white, highly upper crust elite institution ended up offing themselves.
Race and class issues in America are a complete cluster f*ck. So the modern racism is largely uninformed and left dumbfounded when they actually see people "of color" doing legitimate things.
Despite our "melting pot" attitude, the national psyche still holds a deep and decisive strain of being anti-minority.

the quotes you provided, crazy as they may be, say nothing about race. even chopped up and taken out of context as you presented them, they still only talk about some weird, nonspecific Christian hierarchy, and make no mention of race. here is their statement on race:

I work with 3 year olds who are generally color blind but trust me, as kids get older they reveal any "racist" training they receive at home.
For any racist parents out there: when you dump your kids off at child care or school they get OUR viewpoint. If you plan on raising a racist hillbilly kid then don't bring them to us. STAY HOME! We don't really want to deal with you either if you've got weird racist issues.
