tin could you share that evidence please. Seriously. What makes you think they are a hate group if the only criteria on their agenda is identifying groups of people hell bent on taking out another group? This includes black supremists. It includes any group committed to that tactic.

I don't know if they are a hate group, but they are no good scumbags with an agenda. They deal in sensationalism, race baiting, half-truths, one-sidedness, smear campaigns, and other despicable actions.

I've shown a few examples that show the opposite.....
Where's your proof (or at least examples) that show something that they did that was a part of...sensationalism, race baiting, half-truths, one-sidedness, smear campaigns, and other despicable actions?

The Hutaree militia case, they made it out like the group was a week away from taking over the state of Michigan. They also try to attack and smear people because they hold a particular view, or political opinion (A right protected by the American Constitution), that is childish bullying. Being a racist is not a crime in the USA, do we make a big deal if someone doesn't like beets? Do we put their name and workplace all ove the internet and demonize them for it? No, so why should they do the same when someone holds an opinion on race, because it is not illegal to dislike a particular race or religious group in this great country of ours. What the SPLC does is disgusting and pathetic, they thrive on negativity and bullying people who can't afford to defend themselves, they are a pariah!

Not illegal to be racist, if you keep it to yourself....true.
However, if you pass it on, particulary to kids, that should be illegal.
If you effect another person's life based on actions motivated by race....
often, that is illegal.

I'm just frankly disgusted by the # of yes responses on here. It's sickening.
Sometimes this, makes me glad (of course it's just one of several reasons) that I almost live outside the USA, near a country where racism is not as toxic (35 miles from Vancouver, BC).

That's because in Canada you are jailed for voicing your opinion against the status quo. I have heard of at least 11 men jailed for voicing their opinion against the system in Canada I thank God every day that I live in a country where at least for now we have freedom of speech
