I'm guessing the main answer would be: Defend the United States through the military.

Anything else?

Many, though not all, conservatives also want the Feds, with assistance from the States, to safeguard public morals. Prohibit abortion and same sex marriage. Keep us safe from pornography (What is that? Can't tell you, but I know it when I see it. ) Keep people from using illegal drugs.

Stick to the rights granted to it by the constitution. I don't see portions set out for health care takeovers, bailouts of companies, welfare/SS, or skipping/lax on certain laws. In all though, I think most conservatives are a little ticked about the expansive, and ever expanding, size of government which has led us from a rather libertarian small government society to a quasi-socialist one.

Count me out of that. Abortion is murder as far as I'm concerned, but its been going for 30+ years and its not going to stop so I am not worried with it. Govt should not be involved in marriage at all, hetero or homo, none of their business IMO. Pornography should fall to state and local regulations. Marijuana should be legal. Other drugs should be less harsh penalties for users and those with small amounts in posession.

I'm considered a conservative, however, I am TOTALLY FOR Abortion. In fact, I am so pro abortion, I don't mind my tax dollars be used to fund it. In my opinion, there is not enough abortions done in this country.

Lets wait and see what happens after November. There is a chance that Nasty Nancy will be out of her seat in January and then Republicans can make some suggestions in the House. The Reid tribe will still be in control of the Senate but not with the numbers he has now and Republicans may even get to make some suggestions now and then.

Are you trying to say that the GOP in Congress never says anything but NO? It seems you are and I keep seeing those two people calling all the shots and if the GOP doesn't go along with them they just ease them aside and then howl because they wouldn't agree.
