It's time to quit playing footsies with criminals.

No more slaps on the wrist. No more "rehabilitation" bullcrap.

No discretionary power for judges to reduce sentences. No early release for "good behavior."

Hard time. That's what you get for breaking the law. No counseling. No prayer rugs. Just you and the walls and the bars to sort out your mess.

Harsher sentences for every stripe of felon is what we need. Very harsh. The fear of never seeing freedom again kind of harsh.

Stop funding non-sensical studies on college kids drinking beer and having unprotected sex in Brazil. Use that money to build more prisons. Build them now. And when those fill up. Build more. Eventually one of two things will happen: Criminals will finally get the message, or our streets will be safer and free from the local recidivist with his eye on your property or your loved ones.

People cry "build more prisions"

Govt says : Okay the only place we can build it is the land that is a mile from your house

People: "NO! We dont want it in our neighborhood"

Govt says: There is no other land that we can use to build it. We can build it in that area; but the farmers don't want it there; we can build it there; but the new mall and school don't want it there. WHERE do you want us to build these 'prisons'?

People: We dont know, JUST build more

No, we just build privatized prisons and introduce the profit motive into our justice system. More prisons is the last thing we need. At this point we're just warehousing people.

Yes, I am definitely a hardliner. We were put on this Earth to make decisions for the prosperity of the people and the planet. When we make decisions that effect the livelihoods of others for no good purpose whatsoever, its time to pay the piper.

So what about non-violent offenders like drug users? Should someone who gets popped for smoking marijuana or snorting coke fill up our prisons regardless of whether or not they hurt anyone besides themselves? Because that's who makes our prisons so overpopulated, fyi.

Warehousing people is exactly what we need. People fear South American prisons. People fear Chinese prisons. People fear Middle Eastern prisons. Why? Because paying the piper is what prison is all about in those regions. Criminals in the U.S. don't fear prison. They only fear prison when they're about to go there. That needs to change.

Or we can solve 2 for the price of one-- figure out which countries are importing illegals here and deport our prisons to that country. Sharing is good, right? They export their problems, we can export ours.
