There will always be bad and good cops as there is good and bad people, but the over whelmingly majority of good cops, makes up for those bad apples in the bunch.

I guess you are not familiar with the full expression. It is, "A few bad apples spoil the whole batch." And they have. I see cops beating people with 10+ officers watching them doing nothing or joining in on the brutality... where are your good cops in that scenario?

If you do not think the "thin blue line" is very real, you are delusional. Yeah, a few bad apples: Trooper sues more than 100 cops for harassment after pulling over Miami police officer

(Yes, I realize this thread is old, but I hate when people use only half of the "few bad apples" expression.)

There are more than a few bad apples in every profession, including the ministry.

Wow! Not just the cops
"the Colorado Supreme Court censured Judges Jolene Blair and Terry Gilmore, then-prosecutors in Masters' 1999 trial, for their handling of the case."

Ouch. when they tag the judges for mishandling it as well means some folks truly messed up.

Every time a "good apple" gets exposed, the other cops take care of the problem. I have listened to cop's testimony of being driven to the middle of nowhere and threatened about "what they do to snitches". They have an us vs. them mentality.

And our government is currently militarizing these people...
