It will not be by a landslide but Obama will lose in 2012. Obama will bow out gracefully, and remain hugely popular, constantly on television for the rest of his life.

Yes, the conservatives want another government they can praise and believe everything the government tells them.
No! Conservative wants SMALL government.
Low taxes, less regulation, more economic growth (this last one shared by some Dems too), but they somehow thinks high taxes encourage growth.
I have nothing against conservatives and even would vote for some moderate Republican candidates (Brown, Cao, McDonnell) but with the Tea Party pushing the Republicans further and further to the right, it is alienating alot of moderate go voters. There is not one Republican candidate out there that poses a threat to Obama come 2012. Those who voted against Obama are dead set against him, and those who voted for him think he's done an exceptional job given the cards he was dealt. With the Republican Party pushing further and further right, expect a repeat of 2008.
I now know several people that voted for him and regret it dearly.
Some that got cold feet at the last minute and didn't vote for him, and are happy for not doing this.
I also know some others hat will never admit that they were wrong but will correct it in the next election.
