The consumer advocate's blunt questions as head of the TARP watchdog panel have made Wall Street captains squirm. Critics say she favors too much government control.
Elizabeth Warren, touted to lead new consumer financial protection agency, has powerful enemies - latimes.com

I think she's an excellent choice, and I hope she gets the job. Someone needs to look out for consumers and average Americans.

Hers is a voice that has been noticably lacking in the Washington Choir for some time. I look forward to the harmonies that she is bound to create.

There shouldn't even be a 'Consumer Protection' Agency to begin with...

lol... Sounds like the attitude that right-wingers had about Consumer Reports when it was first published in the 1930s. They said that Consumer Reports was anti-business and that the magazine would prolong the Great Depression.

Elizabeth Warren is GREAT! Everyone should see her lecture at Berkley about the extinction of the Middle Class and it all makes PERFECT SENSE! Here is the link:
YouTube - The Coming Collapse of the Middle Class She goes into how the ruling elites schemed up the women's movement to create two income earners in each household . Of course they did it by making it seem like women weren't fulfilled or equal with men unless they had a job but in reality, the whole purpose of the sneaky scheme was to generate more money which indirectly the bankers would control. Once there were two income earners in every household, prices of everything could go UP. Real Estate, College Education -- you name it. Now with two incomes required to pay for everything (whereas before one was enough) if one of the income earners lost their jobs, there was no safety net as there had been when one breadwinner was all that was needed and the spouse could then get a job to help make ends meet.
