Actually, he tried time and time again to come up with something that the republicans might have gotten on board with, but time and time again, they never did. So finally he said "To hell with it, we have a majority, buh-bye." Which, honestly, I would have done the same thing...

I think he has done well especially with the Stimulus bill, healthcare reform (wish we had a public option ) and financial regulation reform.
I think he wasted to much time codddling the old white racist puke party though. I give him a grade of B.

You can't be serious. I wonder how many right-wingers would agree with your statement. I bet: Zero.

I'm amazed if you haven't seen it before.
Ah I see so it is not really a word it is slang or a word created because either people could not say "that" correctly or were just to lazy. Got it.

Now - back to the thread. Obama is too conservative, IMHO, but he will win a second term because the republicans don;t have anyone to run who is electable.

The rasmussen poll seems to think otherwise, but you could probably get a more accurate poll than that if you took one at a tea party gathering.
As for Obama being conservative, I have to disagree but our opinions are ours. The republicans don't seem to have anyone right now but there is still a lot of time. I can't comment on the tea party, not a member and don't follow them.

Yep, Id have to disagree. Obama is not right wing. And honestly, Bush wasnt that right wing. I definitely didnt see Bush as a true Conservative, which is a shame.

It is interesting though how there are many similarities between Obama and Bush as far as what theyve done. Though Obama has taken some things, even if he slammed them before, and hes kept them in place and furthered reach and power.

Its been a while since this country has had a true Conservative as President and I think that's what we need. I guess I could settle for "centrist", middle of the road, but frankly, I dont want anyone dabbling in Liberalism/Progressivism as President.

Obama is definitely center-right. Years to get rid of DADT instead of signing an Executive Order in 5 min. and that so-called "health care" thing he calls insurance. We needed single-payer. He didn't even fight for the public option. He also said his "faith" tells him a marriage is between a man and a woman. Lets not forget the abortion E/O he signed. If that dosen't sound conservative..... I will not vote for him. He is NOT liberal.

. TECH, ^ it may sound conservative to you regarding marriage but I don't see Obama opposing gay marriage if it came into law nationwide.
As for DADT well he could have signed a Executive Order but the next President could have rescinded his order with a signature hence why he is pushing for Congress to abolish DADT instead.
I agree with you on healthcare though.

Languages are constantly evolving. If you have ever logged on to the Urban dictionary, you know that there are words being used in radically new contexts all the time. It is not necessarily a matter of laziness any more than "twenty-three, skidoo!" or "cat's pajamas" were. Even "word" has a different meaning than it did a couple of years ago.

If Obama had been a Liberal we would no longer be in Iraq or Afghanistan, Universal Health Care would have been passed over any and all protests with a public option, gay marriage would be federally recognized, DADT would be history, and the Stimulus would have been twice as large, e.g. large enough to do what it was supposed to.

Due to Obama's compromising with republicans the only realizations have been watered-down versions of what they should have been.

Thank God you don't run this country. We'd be another Europe.
