Some Zionists are Jews. All Jews are definitely NOT Zionists- but that's a whole 'nother thread.

Anyway Ahmadinejad has stated he has no problem with the Jewish Religion but sees zionism as evil. Infact there are still Jews living in Iran and there is an jew that is represented in Iranian parliment, and I guess that is to show that Iran appears not to be anti semetic.

But most Iranians detest Ahmadinejad, and I wont be surprised to see there would be more attempts of his life there in Iran.

Well, I'm sure it wasn't the three lost hikers from CA.

They've been "guests" of the Iranian govt for a year now.

I don't know if many remember this but, you might as well call the first time he won, a rigged election too. He may have actually won but, right before the election, the Mullahs removed all the competition he would have had from the ballot....they weren't allowed to run against him. At that time, more than 50 percent of the population was under age 25. Sounds crazy but when you take into consideration what the Iran-Iraq war, the ages the men were that had to fight in it, how many died, how many that were too old to fight and had since died of old age, it all makes sense.

IMO, the Mullahs needed to make sure someone loyal to them would be elected but, at the same time young enough to be able to speak to the country's young population and gain their trust. He was a college professor before becoming president....and when he was a young student himself, he was a product of the Islamic revolution....a perfect fit. Otherwise, he's a terrible fit...as a professor you would think his degree would be in something that would qualify/help him as president but, believe it or not, he has a masters degree in traffic engineering....that's the part that just makes no sense....which makes me believe that the only reason he's there is because of the ability he had to relate to the youthful population. If he can't do that any more and he's become unpopular, I wouldn't be surprised if the Mullahs replace him some how prior to the next scheduled presidential election. If he becomes suddenly ill and dies or possibly dies in an accident or even gets assassinated by some stool pigeon....we know what happened. Having this explosion go off nearby him, would make a perfect lead up to an assassination.

Smoke show. Smoke and Mirrors. This was not an attemp on him, but an excuse to do what he wants to do next. Need proof? Look what he had said to set it up last week when he said;
"The president’s office and official Iranian media sites quickly denied reports of the attack, which came just days after Mr. Ahmadinejad warned that "stupid Zionists" had hired mercenaries to assassinate him."

Time for someone to do a real attemp with success on him.

Do you know what is Zionism? It is the belief that Jews need to go back to Zion (Israel), and hey have a right to have a Jewish state in the same place that ancient Israel and Judea existed. Jews all over the world when they pray say "the next year in Jerusalem", and they have been saying it since the first exile.

So he loves the Jews he just hate the fact that they have their own state? and said they lied about the Holocaust and ye he wants to bomb them.

Unfortunately, not all Jews are Zionist, but guess what not all Jews are smart, not all Jews are good, not all are bad etc.

The ultra ultra anti-Zionist ( that are Achmadinagad buddies) are actually waiting for the Masiah to come rebuilt the temple, and then they will create a Jewish religious state.

Well Jews have made pilgramages to Jerusalem since ancient times. Actually the reason why the Jews have their own state in the middle east was due the to outcome of the holocaust, as the western powers and USSR felt that the Jews should at least have their own state. Ahmadinejad stated he has no problem with an creation of an Jewish state back in Germany as they suffered from the Nazis there, yet the Zionist Jews invaded and forced an expulsion of hundreds of thousands of Palestinians and today they are suffering the consequences of the 1947-48 war.

Anyway Ahmadinejad is using the Palestianian issue to win support among the Arab and muslim world. The Saudis and much of the Arab world dont really trust Iran or like them but one thing they can have an common ground is the support of the Palestianian issue.

Has it occurred to you that if the United States can traipse around the world assassinating heads of state it doesn't like or agree with, that other countries might possibly adopt the same strategy? But perhaps this is the way you like to see problems solved.
